UK: THE END?!

Well it´s not going that good in the UK for Agnes at the moment. "I Need You Now" is only #38 in the midweeks with 3.463 sold copies, but i´m afraid thats not all bad news.. "Dance Love Pop" - The UK Edition, wich were to be released 7th December has now been delayed to February next year. "I Need You Now" were also removed totally from Radio 1´s playlist, today. It´s hard to take all this in, the major UK succes for Agnes has become a total flop. Agnes UK Recordlabel, 3BeatBlue/AATW, did a gamble with this single choice and gambled away Agnes UK-career.
Why they didn´t choose "On And On" and released it earlier is a mystery!
After the Clubland tour this winter i think it´s better if Agnes focus on the rest of Europe, US, Asia & Australia. Why bother when it´s so hard in the UK? As it is now, this is probably THE END for Agnes in the UK.

  3. We will just have to pin our hopes on any further INYN Promo Agnes can do in the UK, and also hope very much that any 3rd single will get better support. What I don't understand though is why the UK DLP release has been postponed.

  4. I think you´re jumping the gun here a bit, Tommy ;) The UK label has done extremely well promoting RM (I think we have been over that before) and seem to have very serious intentions regarding Agnes´career (at least from what we have seen until now). Just because they opted for a single that doesn´t appear to turn out the way we were hoping, doesn´t mean everything is lost. After all, the UK audience gave her a very warm welcome after her debut, and I´m sure they will give her another chance if she comes up with a single that is strong enough to meet the competition. And I think that goes for Radio 1 as well. Question is what track on DLP would be to the UK markets liking? From what´s said on the various forums there are different opinions on that. I suppose we will have to wait and see what the UK label decides to do....

I don´t know if we are absolutely sure about the album being postponed, but if that is the case it could actually be a good thing. If they get a third single out after New Year and that single does better than this one.
