Number 3!

Now it´s official, "Release Me" debutated at #3 in this weeks UK Singles Chart! Congratulations Agnes, this is amazing. Beside what everyone thought Agnes made it almost to the top, and Agnes is really on her way of becoming a huge star all over the world. Now let´s hope for the best, that "Release Me" continues it´s succes. I think it´s time for a; Hallelujah - Moment!

35 countries?!

According to The Sun´s article about Agnes, she will release her music in 35 countries, i repet; 35 countries!!! It´s like ALOT! It´s not sure if this is true or wich these countries are, but we know some of them; United Kingdom, The Nehterlands, Poland, Belgium, Denmark, France, Russia, Italy, Ireland, Germany, Romania and maybe Australia.

That´s 12, so theres a bit to few, well soon enough we will know.

Anyway, the succes in UK continues, "Release Me" is steady at #1 in the total downloads an #3 at midweeks, right now with 28.600 sold copies.

The Extended mix is at #66 in itunes and the EP is at #23!

Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet comments about Agnes succes in UK; "Agnes succes - #1 in England"(In Swedish).

Physical release

Now it´s confirmed, "Release Me" will be released as a physical single 8th June! You can already pre-order it here. And that´s not so strange, because the song is holding it´s first place at Itunes and have also climbed up to number #1 at livehits. Hopefully it gets loads of airplay now!

YES! It´s true, "Release Me" is right now at #1 on UK Itunes! Good job everybody that have bought it. This is really fantastic news, i wish Agnes big congratulations, she´s so worth this.

A-listed!

Finally, BBC Radio 1 has A-listed "Release Me"! Maybe not so suprising, cause of it´s huge popularity since it´s release in the UK. Today´s midweek results places Agnes and "Release Me" at number #3, with 14853 sales, amazing! The UK record company, 3Beat, has announced in a forum that they will do everything they can to keep this succes up, they will actually release the song as a physical single, wich is great news for you who live in UK.

On the third salesday of "Release Me" on UK itunes it´s already peaking at #2! And thats not all.. in the Midweeks it´s #6 an just 54 copies behind 5th place and another 100 copies behind the 4th place. The song has sold about 8200 copies, and thats just in a couple of days!
It´s also #2 at livehits right now, wich is the collected counter for all downloads in UK, updated several times per day.

Song of the week - Champion

This weeks "Song of the week", is the beautiful soulbalad "Champion". It´s the second single from the second album, "Stronger", and it where released in November 2006. The song is written by Agnes herself, Curtis A Richardsson and Emanuel Olsson. It got pretty much airplay and peaked at #19 in Swedens hitlist and #4 at the important "Tracklistan". In my opinion "Champion" is the strongest track on "Stronger" and one of Agnes best songs ever!

The Netherlands - Release Me

White Willa, Agnes dutch recordcompany, are now releasing "Release Me" in The Netherlands, after the succes of "On And On". The download was released at the 15th, one week ago. Today the physical single is out. The video has already been "Superclip" on dutch TMF a couple weeks ago, and is climbing in the tipparade (pre chart to top40). And in the beginning of july Agnes is appearing at the dutch TMF Awards. Lets hope for huge succes!

Agnes on Radio 1

According to the official website, Agnes has done many interviews in the UK this week. Both TV, radio and dailies. Yesterday she was on "The 5:19 Show" on BBC, you can watch the show here. Besides the interview she performed and acoustic version of "Release Me".
Tomorrow Agnes will visit BBC Radio One, she will appear at 09:10 on the weekend breakfast show with Nick Grimshaw. "Release Me" have been B-listed on Radio One for three weeks, which is the most important radiostation in the UK. It is also playlisted on Capital FM and Galaxy. The video for "Release Me" is according to different forums played alot on different tv-stations, like "The Box" & "Mtv Dance" (a-listed).
The song is also going really well at the clubs.

Agnes preshow to The Pussycat Dolls! (Cancelled)

Agnes is booking many gigs for the summer, and not just in Sweden. The Pussycat Dolls will do their first show in Denmark in august, "This years Chick-Flick". And in the preshow Agnes will perform amongst other, danish artists like Medina, Anna David and Sukkerchock, all girls! You can buy tickets to the event here.

This is Agnes

Well i thought that you fans across the world probably want to know more about the fantastic and beautiful Agnes, so i´m going to give you a short resumé of what Agnes have done the past 4 years in her career, so here we go;

2005, the second year "Idol" was send in Sweden, Agnes Carlsson (at that time 17) went on an audition to meet the tuff jury. She sang "Varje gång jag ser dig" by Lisa Nilsson, and impressed the jury who sent her to the finalauditions. There she proved once again that she had something special and the jury sent her to the semifinals, where the viewers got to vote and decide. There it stoped for Agnes, but the jury wasn´t letting her go so easy.. When the 10 finalists where ready, the jury picked out a wildcard, and who else would that be but Agnes! And in the finalshows she got to prove to the viewers what a star she was, and week after week she was safe. In the big finale she got everyone to tears with her version of the winnersong "Right here right now" wich became her debutesingle when she won. The song became a huge hit and sold platinum in Sweden.

Just after Agnes won, she sang the winnersong again.

Just a couple of weeks after her victory the album "Agnes" was released, and went straight to #1 and has to date sold almost 100.000 copies, making it the most sold Idol-album in Sweden ever!
The second single from the album became "Stranded", it didn´t became a huge hit but it peaked at #27 in the Swedish hitlist. Tours and gigs all around Sweden followed.
Not even a year after the victory it was time for Agnes second album. The first single "Kick Back Relax" peaked at number #2 in Sweden, and the album, "Stronger" went up to number #1! The followup single "Champion" showed Agnes skills in writing, and became a radio and tv-hit.

2007 was a quiet year for Agnes, many people sad that it was over for her part, the "winner curse" had affected her to, but they didn´t know Agnes big plans..
Just in time for christmas it was announced that she and fellow idolcompetitor Måns Zelmerlöv, would do a commercial for MQ, in the romantic commercial they did a duet on "All i want for christmas is you" wich became so popular it was released as a single. It peaked at #3 in Swedish hitlist and sold gold.

In the beginning of 2008 Agnes was one of 7 competitors in "Körslaget" (Clash of the choirs) and led a Choir from her hometown, Vänersborg. After that it was pretty quite again and everyone was wondering what was going to happen with Agnes? In late summer it was out that Agnes had changed recordcompany from big Sony BMG to small Roxy Recordings. This mark showed later to be very clever. The new single "On And On" was released in august, and was nothing like what Agnes had done earlier, and everyone loved it! It was up-tempo, pop, dance, disco, Agnes 2008! With her third album she had work close with Anders Hansson, who has written every song on "Dance Love Pop". The album peaked at #5 in Sweden and it got, opposite from the earlier albums, good reviews from critics. Agnes was finally back, bigger and better than ever! The comeback was a sucess!
"On And On" was played everywhere and all the time, it got good chartplaces and sold gold. The second single from the album "Release Me", where everyones favourit, the critics loved it.
As the first single, "Release Me" also became a huge hit in Sweden and got lots of airplay.
While Agnes was appearing in radio, tv and newspapers, it where announced that she was competiting in Melodifestivalen 2009 with a song called "Love Love Love". Meanwhile it started to happen things outside Sweden, "Release Me" apperaed at the danisch hitlist, her videos on Youtube got more and more views and comments from all over the world. Later it was announced that Agnes and "Dance Love Pop" will be promoted in 13 countries and more across Europe, and outside...

In Melodifestivalen Agnes went straight to the final from 1 out of 4 semifinals, with her "Love Love Love". In the final in March 2009 Agnes placed at number 8 out of 11 acts in the final, and 32 total, a very good result for Agnes. The song peaked at #4 in the Swedish hitlist and became a big radiohit. A couple of weeks after Melodifestivalen, Agnes released a new version of "Dance Love Pop", called "The Love Love Love Edition". This version included "Love Love Love", remixes and videos for the two earlier hits.

The gold catsuit she wore, is now legendary!

During this periode she also started her pr-tour outside Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and The Netherlands where the first countries to meet Agnes. In Sweden she started her club-tour which is going on right now, and she has also won the Swedish version of "Men Vs. Women" wich she stood against Ara Abrahamian. Now she is being a host at Swedish Mtv for a month and gigs are being booked for the whole summer. Meanwhile she is getting more and more famous across Europe, right now she has hits in Poland, Belgium, Denmark and The Netherlands. In the big UK it´s also happening alot for Agnes, this is probably the most exciting time for Agnes, and us fans.

Soon 4 years after Agnes victory she has done so much as an artist and she is evolving and getting better and better in every way, so Europe and all the world, hold on Agnes is on her way!

Song of the week - On And On

The "Song of the week" this week is On And On. The first single from "Dance Love Pop" in Sweden, and the start of something new for Agnes. It was released august last year, and it was one of that years biggest hits! It was played alot on tv and radio, it sold gold (10.000 copies) and was nominated for best song. It is also the first single from Agnes in Poland and The Netherlands, where it has peaked at #15 and #14 so far. The song is written by Anders Hansson and S. Diamond. The song is probably my absolute favourite from Agnes, and it´s a great summersong. BWO´s lead singer Martin Rolinski is actually singing in the background on this song!

In one week, on Monday 25th, "Release Me" will be released in the UK (You can already pre-order it on UK-itunes). But already today Agnes is going to UK for promoting. She will stay in the UK all week, until sunday. It´s not known exactly what she will do, but there´s probably alot of intervjues and etc. But at saturday 23rd she will do a gig at G-A-Y, a nightclub in Soho London.
So get ready UK, Agnes is coming to town!

Song of the week - Release Me

The first "Song of the week" is of course the superhit "Release Me", which is the first single from Agnes that will be released in most of the countries she is promoting herself in. "Release Me" is one of 4 songs on "Dance Love Pop" that Agnes has written togheter with Anders Hansson and Sharon Vaughn. It was the second single from "Dance Love Pop" in Sweden, and peaked at #9 in Swedish hitlist. On a heavy list called "Tracks" it placed at number one!
To date the song has peaked at #12 in Belgium, #97 in Russia and #6 in Denmark, hopefully that list will be much longer soon. "Release Me" is without a doubt one of Agnes´s strongest songs ever, and i´m sure that it will go to music history!
