Well we have suspected this for a while now, but finally it´s official that Agnes has been signed to a US recordlabel!
It´s Interscope records that have signed her, but there´s no info regarding releases and such, yet. Interscope has other artists like, Lady Gaga, Gwen Stefani, The Pussycat Dolls, Nelly Furtado & Black Eyed Peas, pretty impressive!
She has already conqured Europe, soon it´s time for the states, prepare for world dominance!

It's wonderful that Agnes releases in the US and I hope that she'll also do some performances in Germany, as her single "Release Me" will be the upcoming release on the 14th August in Germany.

No, there is no airplay.

I know, that's very sad but I think the reason for that is the unknowledge of the German people about Agnes. They don't even know her!
I try to promote her music on different regional chatrooms in Germany but till now, nobody wants to know about her.
That will surely change in two or three weeks :)
Personally, I know about Agnes from my holidays, which I've spent in Poland.
There, they play it nonstop on Radio ZET, RMF FM and RMF Maxxx (just to mention a few).
I've written something about it on Agnes' homepage (my nickname there is also David N).
These radio stations also play the hit "On and On".
Okay, well let´s hope it get much airplay when it´s released!

ReplyDeleteI am asking because I noticed that the video has been advancing pretty quickly on German iTunes to around #10 (don't know who buys music videos on iTunes, but is is still an indication).

German music TV stations like "VIVA" or the german "MTV" first introduce the newcomer songs.
VIVA has done so on the 31th July and MTV on the 1st August.
Sorry, but I don't know much about iTunes.

I've got some new info about the Sopot Hit Festival 2009 on the 8th August in Poland.

You can listen to the radio station via internet.
I will search for a video on the TV's internet site, sometimes they save the videos.
